Chess Veteran Partners with Mobile Minds ZA to Empower Communities through Chess We are excited to share the story of Colin Morris, an alumnus of Willow Crescent High School in Eldorado Park, and a passionate chess veteran dedicated to using the game as a tool for learning and empowerment. Colin recently coached participants at our very first Mobile Minds Chess Quest workshop at Klipspruit West Library, where individuals from all walks of life came together to learn chess in a fun and engaging way. In partnership with the City of Johannesburg Health and the City of Johannesburg Libraries, this workshop used chess to teach strategic thinking, problem-solving, resilience, and confidence, with the aim of promoting social cohesion, mental well-being, and community development.
